History of Summer Creek Estate
Edward Keen founded the estate in 1884, establishing one of the earliest wineries in the Wheatbelt. After the original homestead was lost to fire in 1904, the National Trust registered the property in 2003 and it earned Heritage status in 2004. The Poulton family has cared for the land since 1987, restoring the Manager's house and dairy while adding our micro brewery.
We continue to celebrate the old vines, the Bethany Brook waters and the community that built this country restaurant over decades. The restored structures now hold our dining room, brewery, kitchen and bakery, while a comfortable deck overlooks the valley for those long country afternoons.
