Summer Creek Estate: Country Restaurant, Micro Brewery & Accommodation Near Perth

Country restaurant, micro brewery and event venue sitting on a heritage 98-acre estate only 40 minutes from Perth. From wood-fired pizza to house-brewed Wheatbelt beers, we keep it flowing with fresh produce, solar power and a warm country welcome.

Country dining, craft brewing and local hospitality

Summer Creek was originally one of the first wineries in Western Australia when Edward Keen established the property in 1884. Today the Poulton family continues the tradition, blending home grown salads, bees, herbs and produce with a small but vibrant menu of wood-fired pizzas, homemade ice cream, freshly roasted coffee and local wines.

The restaurant and brewery are licensed for 75 guests on our refurbished 19th-century site. Enjoy the deck, the wide lawn and the restored Dairy that now houses the kitchen, all powered by solar energy and cooled by air-conditioning for year-round comfort.

Wheatbelt Brewery

Our on-site micro brewery pours a rotating range of boutique ales and lagers, brewed with passion from hand-selected malt, solar-heated water, and clean country air. Tours of the kit are available on request, and we proudly serve every batch alongside our seasonal menu.

History of Summer Creek Estate

Edward Keen founded the estate in 1884, establishing one of the earliest wineries in the Wheatbelt. After the original homestead was lost to fire in 1904, the National Trust registered the property in 2003 and it earned Heritage status in 2004. The Poulton family has cared for the land since 1987, restoring the Manager's house and dairy while adding our micro brewery.

We continue to celebrate the old vines, the Bethany Brook waters and the community that built this country restaurant over decades. The restored structures now hold our dining room, brewery, kitchen and bakery, while a comfortable deck overlooks the valley for those long country afternoons.
